Was the system working before the "hard reset".  What exactly did you do?  Is there an error message?

Setup cartridge problem?  If the printer is asking for or waiting for you to put in the original setup cartridges, then read this or watch this video.  If you replaced the printhead it should have come with setup cartridges.

If the system does not turn on then obviously it cannot be fixed with any type of reset.

IT HAD A CARTRIGE PROBLEM THAT WOULD NOT GO AWAY SO I DID A HARD RESET 3 TIMES AND ON THE LAST TIME THE CARRIAGE WENT TO THE RIGHT AND LOCKED ITSELF DOWN.  AND NOW THE SCREEN HAS A CARTRIDGE (Y) PROBLEM SHOWING.  I DID REMOVE THE LEFT SIDE PANEL AND ROTATED A GEAR ON THE BOTTOM AND GOT THE CARRIAGE LOOSE BUT THE CARRIAGE DOES NOT MOVE AT ALL NOW AFTER I TURN OFF THEN ON THE PRINTER TURNS ON WITH CARTRIDGE ERROR ON THE SCREEN BUT DOES NOTHING AFTER.  THIS ALL STARTED FROM A CLOGGED PRINTHEAD THAT I CLEANED.

I know what to do with older PC that are beyond their lifespan but there is not much that can be done with printers except to scavenge for parts.
