I recently bought and installed the Officejet Pro 8710. Worked great for a while. I do use not original ink.
A couple of days ago the printer started to have the following issues:
1. Each page prints veeeeery slowly (line by line)
2. The printer no longer turns the pages over automatically for 2 sided printing. I have to do it manually and it takes ages and never looks quite right for various reasons, some of which have to do with my putting in the paper upside down!.
3. I get messages about there being a conflict between definitions and I cannot figure out what the conflict is.
The first two points are obviously the biggest problems.
Any ideas?

A warm welcome to HP forums! This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.
I understand you need support and I'll be glad to help you out. However, for an accurate solution, I would need more details:
How is the print speed when you copy a document?
Are you able to make a two sided copy?
Where do you see the conflict message, is it on the printer control panel display or on the computer?
Could you also print a self test page and check the print speed. In order to print a self test page:
1.) From the home screen on the printer control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Setup icon .
2.) Swipe up on the display, and then touch Reports.
3.) Swipe up on the display, and then touch Printer Status Report.
Let me know!

Thanks so much for responding. In the meantime I messed and messed and messed with it and it worked out. I have no idea how. I can tell you this - the copy feature was working just fine and the speed was right. But when I printed from the computer it was printing sloowwwwwwwly. I have no idea what happened and why but right now it's working and that's all that matters!
Thanks again for your help!
