Just got an OfficeJet 8710 all in one, and when I use the scan button on the printer's control panel to scan, it saves the files into your My Documents folder. Is there any way to change where it saves to? I know I can change where I save the files by using the desktop icon and do a manual scan. But it always go back to My documents for subsequent scanning. How to change folder permanently? thank you.

Hi,
Thanks for using the HP Forums.
Yes you can change the Destination folder. First you need to ensure you have your FULL feature software installed.
You can download from this link if you have not installed the FULL feature software.
1. At the Scan UI, select "Save as PDF" and then click on "More" (top right hand corner)
2. Select "Destination", type in the destination folder under "Save to Folder", remember to "Save"! Thereafter, any scans will be saved in the folder - including "Scan to Computer".
Hope that helps!
