Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Printer gives message that "The printhead appears to be missing, not detected, or incorrectly installed".  Message has appeared before, but was cured by turning printer off and on.  Now it's stuck.  Help?

This issue could occur if the printhead is not installed properly or defective.

Sadly I think that I am at my end with HP.  I have been a loyal customer for over 30 years and now often find myself in a position where I have their printer only 2-3 years.  In this time it has at least one expensive part replacement in its short service life.  I now have a OJ8725 which needs a second print head replacement in under 3 years.  I keep telling myself to switch brands and instead I make the mistake of giving HP another try.  Each time I am disappointed.  I am actually convinced that these devices are intentionally made cheaply and parts are purposely expensive to continue perpetuating sales.  Terrible business practice.  I used to have HP laser printers which were bullet proof.  Not anymore apparently.  I am getting off the train.  Not sure I will have any better luck with other manufacturers, but I need to try since I know about this one already.

3. Error message (if any)
• Example: ""Low disk space"" error in Windows
4. Any changes made to your system before the issue occurred
• Examples: Upgrading your Operating System or installing a new software; or installing new hardware like a printer, modem, or router.
