895cxi software

I have had this printer forever and it just keeps on working.  I have Windows 7 and noticed some time ago that I no longer have the software on my computers that came with the printer.  I think it was there a few years ago.  I am talking about the software that aligns the cartridges, cleans them, test prints etc i.e. all the tools.  When I search the HP site they pretend to have never heard of this model so obviously, it is no longer supported.  

Does anyone know where I can download the original software or preferably  a version for Windows 7?

I read about how you're looking for drivers for your Deskjet 895cxi and wanted to reach out. I have searched for drivers and there seems to be no links to a download. However, I would suggest trying to run the printer install wizard below, which will find the drivers if they are still available for Windows 7 for you.

Hey, thanks very much.  But maybe I was not clear enough.  I don't need a driver.  The printer works great.  But what I am missing is the printer software.  I used to be able to align the heads, clean the ink cartridges and all kinds of stuff using software tools that came with the printer.  I even think I was using it on Windows 7 but it's not there now so maybe I am crazy unless HP deleted it from my computer.  I think I have had this printer since about 2000 and it works perfectly.   I have a new HP all in one that has problems with the document feeder, can't print an envelope properly etc.  Sometimes less is better if you know what I mean.  That's why I want to keep using my 895Cxi as long as I can.

Hey there kewl1, thanks for clarifying!

I would still say to try the install wizard to see if it will install any added software. I don't personally think you will be able to install any software but it's worth a shot.

OK, this is interesting.  I found that if I went into Devices and Printers and went to the 895CXI which is actually connected physically to another computer, I have found in there, the things I was looking for which used to be part of an HP program only this is part of Windows 7.  I am talking about Print Head Cleaning, Print head alignment, print test print etc.  Fantastic.  Problem solved
