Don't even know where to start. I'm on my second 9015 printer in the last four years, this one being a 9015e. Both have failed just outside of the warranty. With the most recent printer, I even tried extending the warranty but it wouldn't complete the checkout no matter what I tried.
With the first printer the printhead failed, customer service, or whatever HP calls it, said it's a very common failure in the 9015.
Now my current printer, wouldn't recognize brand new authentic cartridges that I spend a lot of money purchasing. First it said empty, then it said continuous ink supply, then it said it didn't recognize it EVEN THOUGH THEY ALL WERE NEW AND HAD INK IN THEM.
So I assume it's the printhead again but then I go to perform and alignment and now, blue screen of death with the error code B815814E.
I turn off the computer for 48 hours. Unplugging all the cables and following all the instructions available.
Turn it back on, it wants to finish the alignment. Pretends like it's going to print and boom, same blue screen, flashing lights and error code.
Will someone please please please help me with this abomination of a printer. I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars on HP products over the years and am currently typing on my HP Laptop (which I also tried to extend the warranty on and was denied at checkout).

Hi @rahmer,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e All-In-One Printer is displaying a blue screen of death with flashing lights and the error code B815814E, it's indicating a severe hardware or firmware issue. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue.
Restart the Printer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary glitches. Unplug the power cord from the printer, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. Turn the printer on and see if the issue persists.
Update Firmware: Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer. Go to the HP support website and download the latest firmware for your printer model. Follow the instructions to update the firmware.
Check for Paper Jams: Make sure there are no paper jams or foreign objects stuck inside the printer. If you find any, carefully remove them. Even a small piece of paper or debris can cause printing errors.
Check for Ink and Paper: Ensure that you have enough ink or toner and paper in the printer. Low ink levels or paper jams can sometimes trigger errors.
Reset the Printer: Perform a factory reset on your printer to clear any software issues. Be aware that this will erase all custom settings, so you'll need to set up the printer again.
- Turn off the printer.
- Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
- Wait for a few minutes.
- Reconnect the power cord.
- Turn on the printer and hold down the Resume button for 10-20 seconds until the printer resets.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hi thanks for the reply and help but it did not work. I was able to reset the printer originally while it was still connected on the network but now it's disconnected so unable to.
Your steps to manually resetting it did not work. There is no resume button.
When I attempt to reset it, even after days of the printer being unplugged, holding the power button when I plug it back in (or just pressing it once), it still goes back to the alignment screen and then gives me the screen of death and error.
There has to be a way for this to be reset manually. This is the 2nd $250 HP printer I have bought that has failed catastrophically. Please help me.
