Our 'new' HP ENVY Photo 7134 will NOT print on A4 Photo paper.
The printer tries to feed the paper in, but always fails if I only supply a single page, or pulls in more than one page if I supply multiple pages
HP's specifications refer to A4 and photo paper up to 300gsm, and all online images on both HP's website and other websites show A4 photo's coming out of the printer.
On this site, HP have mentioned that there is a limit of 90gsm, but this surely can't be true for this printer if it has been designed to be a photo printer capable of A4 photo printing.
Would someone please help me out with this issue. It has been driving me and my family mad.

Hello,
If you want to print borderless photos in A4 format:
- You have selected the wrong Paper Type, please select HP Photo Paper or HP Presentation Matte Paper or HP Brochure or Professional Matte Paper.
If you choose the Normal paper type, the printer will react as you indicate, so this is the normal behavior of the printer.
Do not hesitate to contact us in case of need.
Best regards,

Thank you Mans.
I can confirm that, according to the HP Smart App, I have the updated firmware, and that Tray and Paper is set to Photo Paper for both Tray 1 and the Photo Tray. I also selected Photo Paper in the PowerPoint print settings. However, the printer will not grab the A4 photo paper I have in Tray 1. It appears to try 3 times, fails, and then displays the message 'Load Photo Paper, A4 paper in the Tray.
There must be some other issue!
Regards
Dave

When I bought the printer Envy 7134, the box showed an A4 colour photo coming out of the machine printed from a 'smart phone'.
The salesman said it could print A4 photos.
Today, before trying I checked the product specs to see what paper to buy.
The specs are confusingly ambiguous.
This is my fourth printer, and all the old not expensive ones could print photo quality paper A4, no problem.
I'll not risk jamming or damaging the paper feed mechanism, but will bu another Canon which the 7134 was supposed to replace. It could print 270 grm A4 photo paper.
The way the printer has been described in its marketiing may be questionable under the 'sale of goods trade descriptions Acts', but for the price of this inadequately described printer, it'd be hardly worth bothering about.
