I upgraded from my old 8500 that always worked no matter what. I spend at least a hr or two a week trying to figure out WHY this printer suddenly changes its mind to operate. We own a small company ...if my wife uses the printer to make our instruction and lets say prints 50 copies after that it will not work...just stops....will no longer communicate with the PC !   I have to unplug and fool around with everything you can think of to get it to work with the PC.  (we work off of a jet pack) and all I can think of is that has something to do with it? Today Im in word and want to print an envelope for the correspondence....Will not work ..telling me my tray has suddenly changed?? what tray there is ONLY ONE and a envelope feed (maybe considered another tray?  Either way after 30 minutes of trying to get the envelope to print I wrote it by hand. I bought this to try and save on cartridges for printing not so sure that is saving anything.. we do about 1000 pages a month...Im still buying cartridges on regular basis. I need a full time HP tech sitting here to fix this  piece of junk.
