My HP Officejet Pro 8625 is giving me an error message after i submitted a print request.  i shut the printer down, unplugged, replugged and turned the printer back on with the same error message popping up.  Contacted HP Not getting resolution.  I have been having issues with having to clean my printer head recently.  Is there a connection.

Hi @Mark1952425,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It's possible that there could be a connection between the error message you're encountering and the recent issues with cleaning the printhead. Printhead-related problems can lead to various errors and printing issues. Here are steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

Check for Printhead Issues:

  • Ensure that the printhead is properly installed. Remove and reseat the printhead to make sure it's securely in place.
  • Check for any visible damage or clogs on the printhead nozzles. Clean the printhead according to the printer's manual or guidelines.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. You can download the latest drivers from the HP website.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Make sure there are no paper jams or obstructions in the paper path. Even a small piece of paper stuck in the printer can cause issues.

Reset the Printer:

  • Perform a power reset by turning off the printer, unplugging it from the power source, and waiting for a few minutes before plugging it back in and turning it on.

Firmware Update:

  • Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer. Updating the firmware can resolve certain issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.-
