HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 4301fdwe Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

We have a Laser Jet Pro MFP 4301 it has two trays,  multiple purpose tray that folds closed when you are not using it.  And a normal paper tray (aka Tray 2).
We keep Tray 2 loaded with paper.  We only open Tray 1 (the multipurpose tray  and load it when we are doing a speciatiy print job, envelopes, small prints, etc).  Other wise we keep it closed.
Unfortunately after we used it for the first time, the printer now reports to all the PCs that are connected (over the network) to it that it is "out of paper" causing it to no longer be the default printer in Windows 11.  How do we get it to not report that the entire printer is "out of paper" when Tray 2 is fully loaded, and Tray 1 is closed (aka not suppose to be used for default print jobs).  We did update Tray 2 to be the deafult tray.  Didn't help. Printer still constantly reporting it is "out of paper" and warning you ever time you try to print that it is out of paper, then prints your job just fine.
