Since updating the firmware on my printer all of the printer lights randomly start blinking and I'm unable to use the printer again until I unplug it and leave it unplugged for 5 minutes. Can I uninstall the firmware update?

Hi @JasonSch96,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If all the lights on your HP printer are flashing after a firmware update, it could indicate a firmware issue or an error during the update process. Unfortunately, HP doesn't typically provide an option to uninstall firmware updates directly. However, here are some steps you can take to try to resolve the issue.
Restart the Printer:
- Unplug the printer from the power source.
- Leave it unplugged for at least 5 minutes.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.
Check for Additional Updates:
- Sometimes, subsequent firmware updates can fix bugs introduced in previous updates. Check the HP website for any new firmware updates for your printer model and install them if available.
Factory Reset:
- Performing a factory reset can sometimes resolve firmware-related issues. The process for a factory reset can vary depending on the printer model. Refer to your printer’s manual or HP’s support website for specific instructions on how to reset your printer to factory settings.
Reinstall Firmware:
- Some HP printers allow you to reinstall the firmware using the HP Firmware Update Utility. Check the HP support website for your printer model to see if this utility is available and follow the instructions to reinstall the firmware.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Thanks for the help, I did get the all lights flashing issues after performing another firmware update. I unplugged the printer again for 5 minutes, plugged it back in, powered it on and it's working now. If it continues I'll see if I can figure out how to do a factory reset.
