Hi @yafai
If all the lights on your HP Smart Tank 580 printer are flashing, it typically indicates an error or issue that needs attention. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take:
1. Power Cycle the Printer
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
2. Check for Paper Jams
- Open the printer covers and check for any paper jams or obstructions in the paper path. Remove any jammed paper if found.
3. Inspect Ink Tanks
- Make sure that the ink tanks are properly filled and seated correctly. Check for any leaks or issues with the ink system.
4. Check Connection Cables
- Ensure that all connection cables (USB, power, etc.) are securely connected. If using Wi-Fi, ensure that the printer is connected to the correct network.
5. Reset the Printer
- You can perform a factory reset:
- Go to the printer's menu using the control panel.
- Navigate to Settings > Restore Factory Defaults. (Note that this option might vary, so check your manual if needed.)
6. Look for Error Messages
- Check the printer's display (if available) for any specific error messages or codes. Refer to the user manual or HP’s support website for explanations of these codes.
7. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor
- If you have access to a computer, download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool. It can help diagnose and fix many common printer issues.
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
