I've been trying to print from my Oppo android (OS Android 13). Had no problems with it until last month.
Now if I send a job, the printer will spit out a blank piece of paper and my phone displays "printer error".
I have no code to look up. Can print from other devices but don't want to switch to my laptop every time I print.
Tried clearing cache and data on my HP smart and hp plugin apps. Didn't fix it.

Hi @AMHQ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you've already taken some troubleshooting steps. Let's explore a few more potential solutions.
Restart Devices:
- Power off both your printer and your Oppo Android device.
- Turn them back on after a minute.
- Attempt to print again.
Update Firmware:
- Ensure that your HP Officejet Pro 9010 has the latest firmware installed. You can check for firmware updates on the HP support website or through the HP Smart app on your computer.
- Make sure your Oppo Android device is running the latest Android 13 updates.
Check Printer Connection:
- Confirm that your printer and Android device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Reconnect your Android device to the printer by removing the printer from your phone's list of connected devices and adding it again.
Reinstall HP Smart App:
- Uninstall the HP Smart app from your Oppo Android device.
- Reinstall the app from the Google Play Store.
- Set up your printer within the app again.
Printer Troubleshooter:
- On your Android device, go to Settings > Connected devices > Connection preferences > Printers.
- Tap on your HP printer and select "Forget."
- Reconnect to your printer by going through the setup process again.
Print a Test Page:
- Use the HP Smart app to print a test page from your Oppo Android device.
- If the test page prints successfully, try printing a document again.
Check Print Settings:
- Ensure that the print settings on your Oppo Android device are correct (e.g., paper size, color settings).
- Open the document you want to print, select the printer, and review the print settings.
Bluetooth Printing:
- If your printer supports Bluetooth, try connecting your Android device to the printer via Bluetooth and printing.
Printer Driver:
- On your Oppo Android device, check if there is an updated printer driver available. You can usually find this information in the settings of the HP Smart app or on the HP support website.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
