Product: Officejet 3830A
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After startup of printer when trying to print the printer has an error message " Printer requires attention" If I then open the cartridge access door and close it the print will continue. I am only running with the black cartridge installed, no color cartridge. This works but it is a nuisance to have to do it each time I wish to print.

Hi,

download and follow below utility, be sure to follow any suggested steps and restart your computer once required to:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/patches/HPPSdr.exe

 

Now try printing and check for any difference.

 

If you experience any issues, can you see version 5.0.4 listed once the HP Print and Scan Doctor utility launches?
