Hi @Elob-1,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.
I understand you're experiencing an issue with your printer that has a blinking light.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, I'm here to help you today.
Please follow the below steps to fix the issue.
Check Printer Connection:
- Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your computer through a USB cable or network connection.
- If you are using a network connection, make sure the printer is connected to the same network as your computer.
Restart Devices:
- Turn off both your computer and the printer.
- Power them back on after a few minutes and check if the issue persists.
Printer Queue:
- Open the print queue on your computer and check if there are any pending print jobs.
- If there are, try canceling or removing them and then try printing again.
Check Printer Status:
- Open the Devices and Printers window on your computer.
- Right-click on your HP printer and ensure that it is set as the default printer.
Firmware Update:
- Kindly refer to the steps on this link to update the printer firmware
Printer Software:
- Uninstall the printer software by following the steps from this link and restart the devices.
- Install the printer software by clicking on the link again and let me know if that resolves the issue.
Note: Enable Bluetooth for an HP Smart app setup: Enable Bluetooth on your computer or mobile device so that HP Smart can detect the printer during the setup.
Paper and Toner:
- Ensure that there is enough paper in the printer tray.
- Check the toner levels to ensure that they are not too low.
Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day
