my HP printer 4650 uses instant ink. I went to load the ink and it printed fine for about 15 copies and then it started to have solid black bars on the page. After the print job finished it gave me an error message saying I needed to remove and reinstalling the cartridge. I did so and it kept giving me the same error and result when I would print test pages. I tried turning off the printer, running the clean cartridge function and page smear but it did not help . Do I need to get a new black ink cartridge or is there something else I need to do? Please help!

@Gdm5, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:
Reset the printer
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.
Also, perform step 3 mentioned in this document.
