Hi,

I got this printer a week ago. Initially it was all good but since yesterday we are having black dots on each print. I have changed two tonner cartridges and problem has not been resolved. I have even tried to clean the inside where catridge is inserted but have no luck. I saw a thread where black dots were within 25 MM but in my case it is 60-70MM apart. We have 5 set of dots on each A4 page. Can anyone help how to resolve this issue? I have attached the photo of a test print and has highlighted the black marks. Thank you in advance for your help.

Regards,

Have you changed the drum unit? Dots like that are typically caused by a drum problem or a fuser problem.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply. No i have not changed the drum. Is it the one which photo copies? Should i try cleaning that drum too?

Hi,

Thank you for your help. Issue is resolved now. It was actually the drum which photo copies. I think its called 32 or 34A. I cleaned it and everything is good now. There was nothing wrong with the toner cartridge which was 294A.

Thank you for your help.

Regards,
