Hi there, I have an OfficeJet Pro 6960 and have today replaced all the ink cartridges as they were low. The new Black 905 XL cartridge won't be accepted by the printer and continues to display the message, 'One or more cartridges are missing or damaged.'
To date I have installed the new firmwarm update, power reset the printer and tried cleaning the electrical connections - all to no avail.
The old cartridge seems to still be recognised when I place it back into the printer.
Please help!
Thanks

@camfitz, Welcome to HP Support Community!
This looks like an issue with the black ink and it needs replacement.
If you have already performed the steps from the document HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.
Please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
Hope this helps!
