My printer was low on black ink and was printing poorly because of this. I replaced the cartridge with a new HP 902 XL black cartridge. My printer had a software update when I replaced the ink and now no longer prints black ink. I’ve attempted cleaning the heads, aligned the cartridge, and even bought a new cartridge. It is still not printing black ink and is now saying that the ink for the three colors are low even though those too were replaced with new HP ink cartridges.

I understand you are not able to print in black. I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.

 

If you have tried the steps mentioned in this document and the issue persists, I'm afraid the issue is with the printhead of the printer as you have already used 2 new black ink cartridges.

 

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

How do I actually speak with someone about this? When ever I click on the HP Support link it just says to sign in for more options even though I'm already signed in.
