HP Snart tank Plus 555
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Hi. I’ve seen other posts about this problem, but am still having trouble.......My Smart Tank is only 3 weeks old. I’ve started printing photos on gloss paper. I found that the black ink does not ‘set’ and smudges off when touched. Colour areas are fine. It’s just the black.

I have selected non-HP gloss inkjet paper from the settings, but the problem persists.

I’m really disappointed about this.

Any other ideas or solutions?

@DrVock, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Does hit happen only while printing on photo papers?

Are you using HP glossy photo paper?

The print settings should be selected as HP glossy paper on the application you are using to print.
