I am receiving a Blue Screen Error with the code B85BC1D8 when accessing the Apps folder on the printers LCD control panel and select Get More (Apps) icon.

The machine subsequenty crashes and displays the blue screen and error.

The printer needs to be hard reset in order to resume operations.

Please advise if this issue can be addressed.

Thanks for the suggestion. As I am in Australia and it's a minor icon that is not used (can't use it now anyway) I think I will wait for another firmware update.

This error B85BC1D8 indicates a hardware problem. Is your printer in warranty? If so, kindly contact 1 800 474 6836 for replacement.

Yes it's brand new. I notice this happened after the last firmware update.

All other features work fine except for when I press this apps icon.

Very strange.

Hello,

Error seems to related to network connectivity.

May i know the Wireless router model# ?

Kindly try the below steps.

  1. While the printer is On, unplug the power cord from back of the printer.
  2. Power Off the Wireless Router and the Computer. unplug the network cable ( Ethernet ) if any from back of the printer.
  3. Wait for 60 seconds
  4. Now plug in the power cord to the printer. If printer does not power On automatically, then press the ON button to do so.
  5. Check if the Error shows up. If yes, go to step#  8
  6. Power On the PC.  Check if the Error shows up. If yes, go to step#  8
  7. Now power on Wireless router, wait for 30 seconds. Check if the Error shows up. If yes, go to step#
  8. If issue still exists, it seem to be printer hardware issue. You may have to contact HP Tech Support for further reference. http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/contact.html
