Help!! I have been having issues all day with my printer. It has been working fun and with no problems until I tried to scan a document. It reset the printer and was stuck on alignment page. I finally got it unstuck and scanned just fine BUT then it kept saying my Instant Ink cartridges were not set up and registered with Instant Ink. Yes they are!!
Now same error code keeps popping up about needing to align but can’t because the cartridges are not set up. I kept trying to get the screen unstuck and now I have a blue screen with an error code B8561710.
It will not let me press anything else.

I understand the printer is stuck on the error screen. A factory reset is not possible in this scenario.
Check if you can bypass this message to access the home screen of the printer.
Reset the printer (Skip if tried)
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.
Reinsert the ink cartridges.
If this does not help, unplug the power cable and hold the power button down for 10-15 seconds and release it. Power on the printer and check.
