HP ENVY 4512

Hello, my HP Envy 4512 printer is displaying a blue screen. I've tried unplugging from the wall and the back of the printer. I cannot even shut it down. Not sure what's up with it. Anyone having or had this problem?

Hi @Ambuler,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP Envy 4512 printer. A blue screen on a printer usually indicates a hardware or firmware problem. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue.

Power Cycle:

  • Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and the printer.
  • Turn the printer on.

Check for Obstructions:

  • Ensure that there are no paper jams or foreign objects obstructing the printer's internal mechanisms.

Update Firmware:

  • Visit the HP support website and check if there is a firmware update available for your printer model. If there is, follow the instructions to update the firmware.

Factory Reset:

  • Perform a factory reset on the printer. Keep in mind that this will erase any custom settings, so be sure to note them down before proceeding.

Check for Error Codes:

  • Look for any error codes or messages on the printer's display. These can provide clues about the specific issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
