Just set up printer, connected to network, cartridges installed blah blah blah. Everything seemed fine. After a couple of minutes or so, audible click from printer and then the screen turns blue a code is displayed.

I've searched for a solution, tried said solution... remove cable, wait at least a minute then reconnect. Unfortunately, this didn't solve the issue.

All help will be greatly appreciated.

We can perform factory defaults on the printer to resolve the error state.

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Could you please share the picture of the error code?
  • Have you tried updating printer the firmware?

Keep me posted for further assistance.

Sorry about the delay. Two pics, one when printer has booted up and the other shows the blue screen with error code.

I believe that the firmware was updated when I initially setup the printer

Still to get in touch with HP Support as the reset suggestion unfortunately didn't work for me.
