ENVY 6020e AiO
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

I have just unboxed and successfully installed an HP Envy 6020e printer. I have an issue with the power cable. When plugged in, it makes a very high pitched sqeaky noise that is very uncomfortable. Should I just replace the power cable or is it also a faulty printer connector?

Many thanks,

Jessica

This is a challenging one. All electronics make some noise and my experience is that some people will hear these typically higher frequencies than others. It is also possible that there is a bad component in the power supply that is causing the noise but not defective enough to cause failure. Without actually hearing the noise, I cannot make an absolute judgement on that.  You might want to contact the place of purchase and see if you can exchange for another unit.
