I have a linksys wrt54g router that I am not currently using for internet service. Can I connect this to my HP C5180 and make it wireless for the household printing?

Hi,

The HP Photosmart C5180 provide USB coinnectivity only.

It does not equipted with any Ethernet or Wireless network card, and therefore cannot be connected to a router, but only directly to a computer.

You may find the product specification below:

On the front of my printer, it says "Ethernet," so is it wireless?

What is the exact model number of the printer? And does it have an Ethernet connection? Check your manual to see.

No that printer is not a wireless printer. But you can plug it into your router and access it through that method. Or, you can convert it to wireless since it has an Ethernet port.

Connect wireless printer anywhere, convert from wired, bypass failed radio, add WPA2 security.

How do I convert it to wireless?

I don't have a router. I have Verizon 4G Hot Spot.

Not sure if you can without a router.

This model does have ethernet, (but not Wi-Fi). You should delete inaccurate responses that are muisleading. HP made some wi-fi adapters for earlier Photosmart models. I've been trying to find out whether it's possible to use certain wireless print servers with this model. Also, being an all in one, it would be nice to also scan wirelssly, and I don't see any mention of that capability.
