HP DeskJet F4210
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi people,

A friend of mine recently gave me his HP DeskJet F4210 he wasn't using anymore. I just set it up and have it running smoothly while connected via USB to my Win10 x64 laptop. However, I was wondering if I could have the printer connected to my router, also via USB, and have it shared to with any device connected to my WiFi and avoid the wired connection.

I have tried it and haven't been able to make it work. Can you please give me a hand with it or just confirm that is impossible, which would make the printer pretty much worthless to me... So I'll have my fingers crossed for this to work!

Thanks in advance for your time and help

Jacko

Downloading the User Guide and reading it, your printer is a USB connected printer only.   No wireless.

1. I did read the manual and there is NO mention of whether it can or cannot be used wirelessly.

2. Plugging the printer to the router and sharing it could be done via USB, so even if the printer is USB-only it might usable wirelessly.

Thanks for your "confirmation" of my greatest fears: this printer is crap, once the cartridges are done so will the printer be...
