Microsoft Windows 11

I  cannot get my printer to print on command.    Microsoft tells me the printer driver inside the computer is corrupt and I have to talk to HP.   Is there a diffeence beween drivers factory installed in the printer and drivers that one downloads from the internet?  I could use some help with this.  I have yet to get through to HP...

 

Last time, in HPSmart, MS Tech removed my printer, reinstalled it from HP download.  It worked for 1 day and again,  directs files  to the print queue and only prints them when I get out of the program.   They just sit in print queue.  Even HPSmart says there is a problem again.  

 

Can anyone explain about drivers to me?  I know you need them. That is the extent of my understanding.  Thanks for help.
