I am so incredibly frustrated.
I own DeskJet 2723E. I installed fiber with a dual band router, with the 5g and a 2.4g network split out. I FINALLY got the printer set up on the 2.4g network. The printer would not finish set-up, and neither my iPad nor my iPhone could find the printer.
I finally did a factory reset. I got the printer re-connected on the 2.4, but the printer now tells me that my Instant Ink cartridges won’t work and that I am not enrolled in Instant Ink. I looked at my Instant Ink account, which is current. I can’t finish set-up without non-Instant Ink cartridges.
How do I get my printer working?

Hi @SickOfThis4 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're dealing with quite a frustrating situation. Let's try to troubleshoot the issue step by step.
- Ensure Connectivity: Confirm that your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iOS devices. Since you mentioned you got it connected to the 2.4 GHz network, make sure your iPad and iPhone are also connected to that same network.
- Restart Devices: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues. Try restarting your printer, iPad, and iPhone.
- Reinstall the HP Smart App: If you haven't already, reinstall the HP Smart app on your iOS devices. This can sometimes help in resolving connectivity issues.
- Check Instant Ink Status: Log in to your Instant Ink account from a web browser on your computer and verify that your printer is correctly enrolled and that your subscription is active.
- Update Printer Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve compatibility issues. Update the firmware on an HP printer
