Please help! Trying to print on my printer and when I press on the (not lighted) internet symbol, I get this message: "Feature has been disabled. Contact the person who set up the printer." Well, I am the person who set up the printer five years ago!

Click here for network setup using HP Smart but in a different language

Password reset

  1. Press Power button to turn the Printer On.
  2. Press BL, BL, BL, BL Buttons, in sequence. (BL stands for Bottom Left. Normally the button on the bottom left is the back arrow. And you need to do this while the front panel of the printer is on the Home screen)
  3. Touch Support Menu.
  4. Select Reset Menu and Touch OK.
  5. Select Semi-Full Reset and Touch OK.
  6. Wait for unit to Power Down/Turn Off.
  7. Press Power button to turn the Printer On.

Do not do the full, or OOBE reset as you may be asked to insert your original setup cartridges which you are unlikely to have and HP does not sell them. Even if you still have them they are likely to be empty.

Network connect using printers panel

Full feature software April 2021

Let me know if you have a flex system (WiFi boosters or repeaters) as the setup is much more complicated.
