7520 all in one printer
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have put in new 564XL cartridge when old one ran out of ink.  It shows  onthe photosmart line that the ink is therre- but it only prints in grey and on HP Print and Scan Doctor, the print page shows no ink in that cartridge even though there is a valid cartridge in place. Internet connection is wireless

I have tried everything on the Doctor suggests several times but cannot get  it to print black.

Hello, @4getit-8thepie – Hope you are well 🙂

I understand that your printer is not printing in black after replacing the cartridge. I would recommend you follow the steps mentioned below to try and fix the issue:

  1. Load plain white U.S. letter or A4 size paper in the input tray, if it is not already loaded.

  2. On the printer control panel, touch the Settings icon .

  3. Touch Tools, and then touch Clean Cartridges.

The printer cleans the printhead and then prints a test page.

  4. Repeat the exercise 2-3 times to get the black printing again.

If the issue persists, go to http://hp.care/2kOZxDB and follow the steps mentioned from step 7 and 8.

Those steps should do the trick, let me know the outcome!

Good luck 🙂
