Hi @Beejay46,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

If you're having trouble opening the ink cartridge door on your HP OfficeJet 8130 e-Series printer, try the following steps to resolve the issue:

Ensure Printer is Turned On: Make sure your printer is turned on before attempting to open the ink cartridge door.

Use Proper Technique: Press the ink cartridge door release button firmly and then lift the door upward. Sometimes, the door may be stuck due to improper handling.

Check for Obstructions: Inspect the area around the ink cartridge door for any obstructions that may be preventing it from opening fully. Remove any obstacles if found.

Restart the Printer: Turn off your printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve mechanical issues.

Apply Gentle Pressure: If the door still won't open, apply gentle pressure to the sides of the door while pressing the release button. Be careful not to apply too much force, as this could damage the printer.

Inspect for Damage: Check the ink cartridge door for any signs of damage, such as cracks or bends. If you notice any damage, contact HP support for further assistance.

If you're still unable to open the ink cartridge door after trying these steps, this could be a hardware issue.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
