I have looked at all the online tables, and still can't figure out if I can or can't override an ink expiration on my 8620 all-in-one. This printer is not in the table, but the 950/951 cartridges DO have an expiration date. I would REALLY like to know before the event happens if I'll be able to do an override. I don't want to order ink too far in advance and have more cartridges expire before they are used, after all!

The Officejet Pro 8620 does not enforce an expiration for ink. The "expiration date" on the cartridge package is the end of the cartridge warranty, it is not an expiration date for the cartridges. I have used cartridges well beyond their expiration date in these printers.
The inks I just replaced recently in my unit had a warranty expiration of 2015. That said, I would not suggest ordering too far in advance. There have been some updates over the life of the 950/951 cartridges, and the original cartridges are not accepted in the Officejet Pro 8620, although they do work in the Officejet Pro 8600.
