I have been using this printer for 2 years now with no issues.  I had some issues with my PC, anyway long story short... I am able to print anything from Word, Excel etc and attachments from Outlook, however, if I try to print an email from my desktop I get a Printer Not Ready message.  Can anyone help me?  Is there something that needs to be modified somewhere?  Thank you

@Lisa120,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues printing from Outlook.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

Are you unable to all the emails or any particular email?

Are you printing directly from Outlook?

Meanwhile, I recommend you follow the below steps and check if it helps.

Please press Win + R on your keyboard to get the Run Dialog box.

Type spool and press enter or click on the OK button.

This will bring up the spool folder. Right on the 'PRINTERS' folder and select properties.

On the printer properties popup, click on the Security tab.

Provide Full Control to all the users listed there. Apply the changes.

Now open devices and printers from the control panel.

Right-click on your printer and select printer properties.

On the printer properties popup, select the Security tab and provide full control/access.

Apply the changes and restart the computer and try to print.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

This did not work for me and I have the same exact problem.  Is this printer just not supported with legacy versions of Outlook?  please provide a clear support statement.  I get the printer not ready message, but only form Outlook 2010

Thank you

@DBJ98,

Try the below steps and check if it helps.

Press the "Windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type %temp% and press ok.

Note what the full path is  (in my case, it was "C:\Users\*****\AppData\Local\Temp")

Go up one level in the directory tree

Right-click on the temp directory (in my case, "C:\Users\*****\AppData\Local"), and select "Properties"

Go to the Security tab, and select "Users" from the group or user names

Click "Edit"

Select Users, then check the box by "Full Control"

Click "Apply"

You may get a whole bunch of error messages about inheritance, just hold down the Enter key until they all go away.

Click "Cancel" a couple of times to dismiss the properties boxes

Go forth and print from any application and check.

Cheers!
