HP cartridge 65

I have recently purchased a HP 3700 All in one series printer.  Went to buy ink cartridge 65 and cannot remove it from plastic box.  Please help

Some retailers put the cartridges in plastic boxes to discourage shoplifting of high value items. It is possible the retailer forgot to remove the cartrdige from the box.  I would suggest returning it and ask them to open the box.  (This takes a special tool.) They reuse the boxes, and may be glad to get it back.

 

The HP packaging is a small cardboard box as shown:
