Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hello,

I have bought a HP LaserJet MFP M140w which can be connected visa WiFi, Direct and a USB. However, non of this options works. I have spent a lot of time trying to connect and install it in all the possible ways however no success. On the printer display there is an error sign '!'. The printer is always asking to finish the set up process, but it's not possible. When I try to connect with a USB it stops with an error EBS00P0004.  WiFi shows another problem. I tried to reset it to factory but it also did not help.

Please advise.

Hi @AnnaKira,

Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I see that you are getting Error Code EBS00P0004 on your HP LaserJet MFP M140w printer.

Restore the printer to factory default settings.

1. Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.

2. From HP Smart, select your printer, and then click or tap Advanced Settings.

3. Open the HP Embedded Web Server. See Access the Embedded Web Server (EWS).

4. On the System tab, click Service.

5. In the Restore Defaults area, click the Restore defaults button. The printer automatically restarts.

Remove the printer from the HP Smart app.

1. Close the HP Smart app, and then reopen it.

2. Right-click or long-press the printer icon, and then click Hide Printer or Forget Printer.

Restart setup process using HP Smart.

1. Open the HP Smart app.

2.Click Add Printer or to find your printer.

3. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your printer.

4. If you are unable to complete the setup, restart the HP Smart app, and then try again.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
