@jobanna, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the printer not turning on or off and the error code!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

1. Perform a Power Reset

  1. Turn off the printer (if it responds). If not, disconnect it from power.
  2. Unplug the power cord from both the printer and the wall outlet.
  3. Wait for at least 60 seconds to allow the printer’s internal power to discharge.
  4. Plug the power cord directly into the wall outlet (avoid surge protectors or power strips).
  5. Reconnect the power cable to the printer and try turning it on.

2. Check the Power Adapter and Cord

  • Ensure the power adapter is securely connected and not damaged.
  • If possible, test with another compatible power cord.

3. Perform a Forced Reset (If the Printer is Still Unresponsive)

  1. Unplug the printer and wait 1 minute.
  2. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
  3. While holding the power button, plug the power cord back in.
  4. Release the power button and see if the printer turns on.

4. Check for a Firmware Update

  • If you manage to turn on the printer, check for firmware updates via the HP Smart app or HP’s official support website.

Let me know if these help!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
