There is little context in your request to help us know what you are doing.
I can offer the following.
Basics
- Does the card paper meet specifications (Size, Weight)?
For example,
Media weight supported (metric) | 60 to 105 g/m² (plain); 220 to 280 g/m² (photo); 75 to 90 g/m² (envelope); 163 to 200 g/m² (card) |
If the card paper is too heavy for the printer, the result may be other than expected:
The job may fail, jam, or halt part way through.
- After you loaded the card paper, did you tell the printer that you changed the Paper?
Check / Adjust / Retain the Paper at the Printer Panel
Open Printer Tray,
If you have not yet done so, add desired paper type
Close Tray
IF applicable for your printer:
On the printer control panel, Click Modify (wording varies), set the paper size and type, Click OK
NOTE: If the size of the Paper Size is not in the Drop-down list, Select Custom
- What is the Operating System you are using?
- Are the Paper and the Settings correct for the type of job and software you are using?
- What program are you using to submit the job to the printer?
- Does the printer successfully print other documents / images?
Additional Considerations - Windows
- Do you have the Full Feature Software for the Printer?
- What are the Paper Size settings?
If the card paper one of the standard sizes or are you using a Custom paper form?
- What is the Media (kind of paper) you have set in the Printing Preferences? Note that depending on the software you are using, this might be called Properties, Printer Settings, or similar.
- Is the image at the correct orientation?
- What have you already tried to resolve the issue?

I dont know what else info you would need. My problem is simple, the solution is not. I put in card stock the same size as a regular sheet of 8.5x11 paper that meets the appropriate specifications. And when it prints, it cuts off 25% of whatever it is that im printing. Nothing is jamming, nothing is broken. But if I have more than one page to print the second page comes out normal

I believe you are right - the problem is simple.
The subject line says "printing only 3/4 of image"
The content says, " it cuts off 25% of whatever it is that i'm printing"
While these are not the precisely same thing, it is obvious that something is not right.
Example of things that I believe might make a difference:
- Operating System / version,
- Whether the printer software is installed,
- Which Software, program used to submit the job,
- Whether the printer can print the same job on regular paper.
So, you are correct - I am perhaps too focused on what I do not know.
Sample issue and details
Windows 10 (current) > Full Feature Software installed > Office Word (current Office software) used to edit / view /submit > Results are same using different paper
Image is wrong size / chopped, text not affected
Sample (possible fix)
Use Insert as opposed to cut/copy/paste to add image file to Word document.
Ensure image document is .jpg and sized appropriately (Size and Position)
Image wrong size (not necessarily chopped)
Control Panel > icon view > Devices and Printers > Right-Click on your printer > Printing Preferences >
Tab Layout > Click Advanced > Switch OFF HP Real Life Technologies
