I received a message last fall, ostensibly from HP, offering a discount on a 3-year Next Day Replacement Care Pack, which I accepted. I have a receipt and confirmation of shipping but no official documentation resembling what HP shows online.
I have all the information needed for registration except the Care Pack serial number, which has never been provided to me.
Question: Have I been scammed? I can't reach a live human at HP so I'm hoping someone here will have an answer.

If you purchased the Care Pack from HP, it should show up in your Warranty Check.
Warranty Check
NOTE: If the single-system-check fails to find your device, use the "multiple devices" method to
check single or multiple devices.
- If necessary, Select your Country on the main website page
- Scroll down > To the right of Check multiple warranties, Click Continue
- Enter the Serial Number and Countryfor one or more devices / systems to be checked
- Check the box to verify you are "Not a robot"
- Click Submit(at bottom of list entries)
- When the page opens, Click View Details
Warranty Dispute
Excerpted: If you think the warranty details of your product are incorrect, submit a dispute through the HP warranty validation website.
and / or
Talk to Care Pack Support.
Note that when you click "Buy now" it won't suddenly "purchase" anything -- you should see Contact Information relative to your region (location on the planet).

I have submitted a dispute to validate the warranty and I finally did manage to get hjold of a breathing human from somewhere out in the HP universe. Unfortunately, he was unable to help and the HP Care Pack Support unit is closed on weekends.
I guess we'll see where this goes come Monday morning.

no iF you got it from hp there is a record at the printer support as long as you have all of it also no help call these people [edit] AND AS QUESTIONS THEY WILL ASK FOR AGENT ID JUST NKEEP PRESSING THE 0 I THNK THEY WILL ANSWER OK

This happened to me too. Bought a pack and nothing.
Went through support Chat twice and both times I had someone (i think) help do a widget on their end. It would should up that the Warranty existed, but then months later it would be gone.
TWICE!
I think HP Care Support must not actually have a database of anything. Maybe they write it on napkins.
Hopefully you've had more luck.
