Hi
My printer was working fine until I went to print and now I keep getting an EO error message. I have replaced the ink cartridge, unplugged it and plugged it back in and still nothing is working.... HELP I need to print my homework.
I have an HP Envy 6055e.

@Crystal135, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding cartridge/ account issue!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I understand how frustrating this must be, especially when you need to print your homework. Let’s work together to fix this issue.
Here are some steps to troubleshoot the EO error on your HP Envy 6055e:
Power Cycle the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 2–3 minutes.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.
Check the Ink Cartridges:
- Open the ink cartridge door.
- Remove the cartridges and carefully reinsert them, ensuring they are seated properly.
- Make sure you are using genuine HP cartridges.
Reset the Printer:
- On the printer control panel, press and hold the Power button and the Cancel button simultaneously for 5 seconds.
- Release both buttons and wait for the printer to restart.
Check for Firmware Updates:
- Open the HP Smart app on your phone or computer.
- Go to Settings > Printer Settings > Firmware Update and install any available updates.
Clean the Cartridge Contacts:
- Turn off the printer and remove the cartridges.
- Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water to gently clean the copper contacts on the cartridges.
- Let them dry completely before reinserting them.
If the error persists after these steps, please let me know so we can explore further solutions.
Take care, and have an amazing day!
