Good day @vitya_56,

This is a great place to visit for Community and HP support! I see that you would like to know what type of dye is used in the ink. I would like to be able to help you.

The black and tri-color ink are dye-based.

I am from Oman.

I had purchased a HP 2130 All-in-one printer and wanted to replace the Black cartirage.  During that time there was offers Lulu Hypermarket/Department stores for the same printer model so I asked one of the sales person for the black cartirage model number and purchsed the 123 black.

When I went home, I replaced the black cartirage but the printer did not accept it.  I got error "incompatible cartirage detected, purchase a geniune product".  I got confused as to how Lulu Hypermarket sells duplicate products.

I went back and checked again which cartirage does into the printer and confirmed it was number 123.

After rechecking my printer at home, I noticed that my printer had cartirage 63 black and 63 color.  Now as I had already opened the pack Lulu wouldn't take it back.

I checked with other shops around and they had the same printer which uses cartirage 63.

After find on the HP site, I noticed that HP is making printers for different regions which uses different numbers of cartirages.  WHY ?.  I HAVE LOST MY MONEY IN PURCHASING THE WRONG ITEM.

I CANNOT USE THE CARTIRAGE I PURCHASED BECAUSE ITS WRONG.

I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANY HP PRINTERS BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM. OR HELP ME SOLVE MY PROBLEM.
