Changing Default Paper Type

How do I permanently change the default paper type from HP Glossy Brochure or Professional Paper to just plain paper.

Thank you.  I already knew how to change the print quality in each application.  I wanted to know how to change it across all applications.

I finally figured out that to change ALL print setting defaults in every application from HP Glossy Paper or Professional Brochure to Plain Paper, in Microsoft 10 I had to go to Settings, then Printers & Scanners, then select my printer, then Manage, then Printing Preferences, then I created a PLAIN PAPER DEFAULT Printing Shortcut,  then hit Reset in that box, then hit OK in the main box.  Whew.  I think this now works.
