HP Deskjet 6940
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Being that I have (2) HP Deskjet 6940s with damaged Ink Cartridge Carriers.  The stuipd small place tab that holds in what looks like a mangled paper clip that's on the side of the ink cartridge bays, slot or what ever the technical term is for the hole the ink cartridge slides into...snapped off, one in the tri-colr bay on one printer and on the my other Hp 6940 the tab snapped off in the black bay...so I have two basically broken 6940 printers.   I found the part needed for a HP 6940   (ink cartridge carrier)...so now I need some advice and or assistance in replacing the two damaged carriers...they seem to have the contacts in place and that's what seems to be the problem when I run a full digagnotic that's featured on the HP 6940 printer.  Has anyone chaneed out a Ink Cartridge Carrier...if so, can you kndly assit me in doing the same repair?
