Clogged print head - officeJet 6958

The black print head on my OfficeJet 6958 is clogged and won’t print. I’ve run the clean printhead function more times than I can remember- any solution short of completely replacing the printhead? Black ink is critical...

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the  "print quality" issue. 

To better assist you - 

1) Does the copy print out the same way? 

2) What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or devices? 

3) Is there an error message on the printer screen ?

While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page -

1. Load plain white paper in the input tray.

2. From the printer control panel, open the Setup  menu.

3. Open the Reports or Tools menu.

4. Touch Print Quality Report.

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
