Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Same issue as this thread:

Stays online for 2 maybe 3 days tops, doesn't matter wireless OR wired. Connected to either 5Ghz or 2.4Ghz SSIDs, nothing matters...new firmware, nothing

What type of port is the driver connected with. My field experience is that often the printers are being connected using a WSD port, which in theory should work fine. The problem I have narrowed down to is that often any little glitch such as a paper jam or supply running out causes the printer to go offline, but never recover once the error condition is resolved until the printer is restarted. We have had fewer problems when a Standard TCP/IP port is used as the connection port for printers. It requires manually creating the port, but communication disruptions happen less often.

I use the standard TCP/IP port. I modified it once the WSD port was used after the initial setup

Check and confirm because I have seen with recent windows updates, clients systems that were setup on TCP have be switched by Windows.

Hi,

Please make sure the latest firmware is installed indeed, version 20211221, it should improve the network connectivity over a Standard TCP/IP connection:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/FW_CPE_Consumer/M282_M285/HP_Color_LaserJet_Pro_M282_M285_...

You may open the Setup menu and there select Service, click on Firmware Datecode to locate the currently installed version, a newer date indicate a later version, to confirm its successful update.
