Hi @chuqui,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

If your HP ENVY Photo 7855 printer is not showing the option to print in color, follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Step 1: Check Printer Settings

Open the Print Dialog:

  • Open the document or photo you want to print.
  • Click File > Print.

Access Printer Properties:

  • In the print dialog box, select your HP ENVY Photo 7855 printer.
  • Click on Printer Properties or Preferences.

Select Color Printing:

  • In the properties window, look for a Color or Quality tab.
  • Ensure that the Print in Grayscale option is not selected.
  • Choose Color or Automatic as the color option.

Step 2: Update Printer Drivers/firmware

Download the Latest Drivers:

  • Visit the HP Support website and navigate to the drivers section for your HP ENVY Photo 7855 printer.
  • Download and install the latest drivers and software for your printer. Click here

Restart Your Computer and Printer:

  • After updating the drivers, restart both your computer and printer to ensure the changes take effect.

Step 3: Check Ink Levels

  1. **Check Ink Car

tridges**:

  • On the printer control panel, navigate to the Setup or Tools menu.
  • Select Estimated Ink Levels to check the ink levels of your color cartridges.
  • If any of the color cartridges are low or empty, replace them with new ones.

Step 4: Run Printer Diagnostics

Print a Diagnostic Page:

  • On the printer control panel, go to the Setup or Tools menu.
  • Select Printer Maintenance and then Print Quality Report.
  • This report will help you determine if there are any issues with the printhead or ink cartridges.

Clean the Printhead:

  • If the print quality report shows issues with color printing, select the option to Clean Printhead from the printer maintenance menu.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the printhead cleaning process.

Step 5: Check Application Settings

  1. Ensure Color Printing is Enabled in the Application:
    • Some applications have their own print settings. Make sure color printing is enabled within the application you are using (e.g., Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat).
    • Access the print settings within the application and ensure color printing is selected.

Step 6: Reset Printer Settings

  1. Restore Default Printer Settings:
    • On the printer control panel, go to the Setup menu.
    • Select Printer Maintenance or Printer Settings.
    • Choose the option to Restore Default Settings. This will reset the printer to its default factory settings and may resolve any configuration issues.

By following these steps, you should be able to enable color printing on your HP ENVY Photo 7855 printer. If the issue persists, consider contacting HP Support for further assistance.
