I read and tried already the solution from "https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printing-Errors-or-Lights-Stuck-Print-Jobs/How-do-I-fix-the-color-alig....

Unfortunately, it doesn't function for me.

After multiple color calibrations after a printer reset to factory settings there is still a horizontal shift of magenta channel vs. CYK and vertical shift of yellow channel vs. CMK channels.

Is there any possibility to shift and/or scale the particular color channels manually? The automatic calibration obviously fails...

Any ideas are warmly welcome.

Have you cleaned the registration sensor? To explain, registration on these printers occurs by using the K channel as default and always assumed to be correct and CMY are aligned to K. Dirty sensors and third party toners can mess with this process as the density of toner is different than OEM. Dirty sensors will cause issues with OEM and third party. Sensors are inside the front door as they read swathes printed to the transfer belt to perform calibration.

Thank you Repairatrooper for your idea!

No, I haven't yet.

I'm studying now the "Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477 Repair Manual" -  it seems pretty tricky to access the registration density sensor.

Is there a possibility to clean it without disassembly of ITB and the associated parts?

BTW, I'm using the original HP toner cartridges only.
