Product: HP ENVY 4520

I am consistently receiving this error when trying to print from my computer.  I typically print out from GIMP 2.10.36 and usually discover this issue as the printout is monochrome.  Manually changing the print settings will not change to color.  The only fix I've found is to remove and reinstall the printer in the Windows Printer & Scanner setting page.

 

I've seen this issue reported in these forums, but there has never been a good solution answered. How can this be fixed permanently.
