Hi guys,

I have installed new ink cartridge, and they both worked fine for about 3 weeks. Then i start getting this error:
Red flashing lights and the "color-levl" flashing aswell. Cant print anything.

I now tried resetting the printer by holding power and the red X (cancel), for 10 seconds, then first release X and then the power. Now im able to print this page:

For about 10-15 seconds, everything looks normal, no errors or anything, then the printer makes a sounds, like a small "klonk" and then the error returns, and Im still unable to use the printer.

Everything is original, so I really dont understand why I cant use my printer anymore.

Regards,

Jan

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

  • Are you able to make a Black photocopy on the printer?
  • Try printing in single-cartridge mode, remove the tricolor ink cartridge and try to print in black and check if that works.
  • On the printer display screen, the color ink cartridge shows as empty but on the test page, the ink level is more than half.

Step 1: Reset the printer

1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

2. Wait at least 60 seconds.

3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Step 2: Make sure the ink cartridges are compatible

Step 3: Follow the troubleshooting steps mentioned in this document.

Let me know how this goes.

No, it just blinks, and nothing happens.

Cant do that, the printer just blinks.

Yes 🙂 Thats the funny thing, and I cant figure it out! Trust me its the same cartridge. I can make a clip of it, if you want.

Step 1: Reset the printer

Tried that, dossent work.

Step 2: Make sure the ink cartridges are compatible

They are brand new and originale.

Step 3: Follow the troubleshooting steps mentioned in this document.

Tried that to.
