Hi, I used to be able to "scan to computer" from my printers LCD screen. However, now when I hit "scan" then choose "PC" it says "there are no computers". I've rebooted my pc, done the "HP Print and Scan Doctor", added the port into the printer properties, nothing works. In my "HP Printer Assist" when I click "Manage Scan to Computer" it says "Scan to Computer currently unavailable and it is "enabled". I've hit the FIX button and the DISABLE button. Neither make my PC show up on my printer's LCD. I CAN use the "scan" software to scan from my PC, but I want to put items in, and scan to my pc from my printer.

Hi,
Thanks for using the HP Forums.
Please Uninstall and Reinstall the FULL feature software following these steps:
1. Uninstall the software in your computer
2. Download and save the FULL feature software (do not install it online)
The following resource will help you :
http://123.hp.com/us/en/
Key in your printer model, Operating System and download & install the FULL feature software.
3. Install the FULL feature “Saved” software
Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.
If you are not sure how to do this, the following resource will walk you through the steps:
How to Uninstall Download & Reinstall a Printer software
How to Scan to Computer
Once you have installed the software:
1. Click on the printer Icon (on your desktop) and it will bring up the HP Printer Assistant.
2. Under the Scan menu, there is a “Manage Scan to Computer”, click on that.
3. Make sure that you “Enable” Scan to Computer. Also make sure the tab “Automatically start Scan to Computer when I log on to Windows” is checked if you want to make this feature permanent. (the following video will show you how)

How to use "Scan to Computer" properly
Hope that helps.
